Share Me by Ker Dukey and K Webster–Review

Before I say anything about the book, let’s take a look at the authors. Hello, it’s Ker and Kristi!! This is a power duo like never before. When these two amazing ladies put their heads together, you know it’s going to be golden.

Share Me is a reverse harem book, unlike any other. I normally have an aversion to reverse harem/harem books. Unfortunately, I’ve read too many that are focused on the dirty nasty, almost comedic storyline and not so much on quality. I can’t forget that they heroine is usually an innocent and pure virgin. I have absolutely nothing against dirty, nasty sex, hello this duo usually gives us plenty of that, but their story differs. Share Me is more than the nasty, there is a true storyline with emotions, feelings, intrigue and love. Oh my gosh, so much love, it was beautiful to see.

Clove is a politician’s daughter who has hopes of reaching 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Unfortunately, while he has lofty aspirations and is busy trying to achieve them, he is neglecting his daughter more and more. At a vulnerable age, Clove’s mother passes away. To keep her safe while he’s not around, he hires her own bodyguards (who also sometimes protect him). An unforeseeable incident happens, and all go into uber protective bodyguards. Per her father’s request, she is whisked away to a safe house with her men. Things may never be the same.

Clove and the boys hunker down in a small one-bedroom hunting cabin. In this elevated, hyper vigilant, close packed alpha situation lines are crossed. Webster and Dukey increase the hot, dirty and filthy to a new level. Clove is a champ. She is a strong woman, despite her young age, and knows what she wants…her men. If you take the sex out of it for a minute, it was beautiful to watch this fivesome interact with each other like they’ve been doing it forever.

I would happily recommend this book to anyone. It is a solid and well thought out reverse harem storyline without the cheese/over the top factor. Get ready, y’all, you’ll want to keep your fan handy while reading this one!!

They have one job.

Keep me safe.

But none of us are safe against the allure we have when we’re together.

Control and professionalism used to be something they prided themselves on.

But now that we’re secluded and alone, lines blur and control quickly loses to need.

Someone is trying to snuff out my life, but they may not get the chance if I’m devoured whole by my saviors first.

🌟My Review🌟

About K. Webster

K Webster is the author of dozens of romance books in many different genres including contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and erotic romance. When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers.

Her other passions besides writing include reading and graphic design. K can always be found in front of her computer chasing her next idea and taking action. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

Bad Saint by Monica James–Review

I am shook, rekt and flabbergasted! I am sitting on pins and needles at the edge of my seat crying like I lost my dang-tooting mind!! I am feeling a mess of emotions (disgust, hate, love, relieved, hopeful, uncomfortable, worried and proud among others)! Bad Saint encompassed unfathomable, real emotional situations. I felt as if I was right there with them along for the ride. Bad Saint is deep, tortuous, provocative, sexually frustrating, angsty, dramatic and full of lies and subterfuge.

Growing up, Willow Shaw is the apple of her father’s eye. He is a Baptist minister and dotes on his family until tragedy strikes. Willow’s one source of love and comfort, her father, passes away while she is young. You may ask about her mother, but she is of little help as she is sinking into a world of despair and is non-existent. An incident occurs at home, that enlightens Willow as to what her world has turned into.

“’Your looks are used for evil’…my mom’s words echo loudly within.”

Longing to start a new life and get away from the past, she moves to LA. She eventually lands on her feet and becomes a high in-demand model. It’s while doing a show, she falls for the love of her life, gets married and is off to her dream, idyllic honeymoon. Well, the fates are not in her favor. When thinking of that picturesque location, she never imagined that she would be kidnapped, held captive and tied up.

“I am her captor. And she is my slave.”

Willow doesn’t realize the strength that lies within her. She taps into this strength when she thinks of her father. She is the one of the strongest heroines I have read about. It was immensely satisfying as a reader to see her emerge from her world of captivity into a woman of strength, like a butterfly emerging from their cocoon.

Saint Hennessy…oh dear lord…Saint Hennessy. He is NOT what Willow (nor I) expected. He is the perfect anti-hero.

“I am not your knight in shining armor. Stop trying to see something that isn’t there!”

Here is what I will say about Saint. He’s a tortured, damaged and a pissed off soul who will do what he needs to do to get what he wants. As a character, he is exquisite. His aura just jumps off the pages and will make you fall in love with him. Beware, I warned you! 🖤 I, absolutely, adore Saint. To see his own struggle and evolution will make you think that this captor isn’t so bad.

“She isn’t what I was expecting. She is strong-willed and stubborn. I have no other choice but to break her.”

I will freely admit, that I was that quintessential reader who was desperately hitting my kindle for the next page. I wanted more and there wasn’t anymore. Bad Saint ends with a cliffhanger (of sorts). Does it answer all your questions? No. Does it tie up Bad Saint with a tidy, red bow? No, but it does round it off nicely. I am sitting here a couple days later and I’m still in ‘book hangover’ territory. I’m chomping at the bit to get more from these two. Ms. James is a new to me author and now a lifelong reader. Her words are exquisite, and the storytelling is awe-inspiring, despite its dark nature. Monica James, thank you for writing such a book that despite its content, it is thought-provoking and full of emotional overload!!

Boyfriend Bargain by Ilsa Madden-Mills–Review

Wow!! OMG!! I’m flabbergasted!! I just hope I can convey all that I’m feeling with this book. Ilsa Madden Mills not only has the magic touch with her books, but she is a true storyteller. I was saddened to hit ‘The End’. I wanted more with this enduring, hilarious and loving cast of characters. Not to mention, imagining Zack as the cover model!IMG_0874

On paper, Boyfriend Bargain is a New Adult College Sports Romance, however, once you turn the page, you soon realize that BB is more than that. We have two seniors in college, Zack Morgan and Sugar Rae Ryan, both destined for greatness, neither working any less than the other, but one from the affluent side and the other from the trailer park. (Think you might have it figured out? I bet you don’t!)

Zack Morgan, larger than life, real -life Thor. Take that phrase, ‘Big Man on Campus/BMOC’ and throw it out the window. Zack not only has the campus, he has the city and the surrounding general area worshiping at his feet. Pressure, much? Hawthorne University is in Sparrow Lake, MN where the state is a big-time hockey state. Zack is on his way to the NHL but has elected to finish his degree and accomplish a few other items on his personal ‘to-do’ list before graduation.

Sugar (gosh I love that name for a girl from the south), is an introverted, quirky, awkward and funny character. She has ended up on the losing end of the privileged stick. For the longest time, it has been her and her mother, but then tragedy strikes, and she finds herself moving to Minnesota to live with Mara. Mara is the closest thing to family now. She finds herself at Hawthorne University and through misguided notions finds herself a pre-law student.

Ilsa has written a band of characters that are so relatable and down to earth, despite everything going on in their lives. Zack, oh man, Zack is such a lovable character. There is so much depth to him, that I felt like I was on a treasure hunt with each layer removed.

Sugar is a breath of fresh of air. She is down to earth, humble, yet feisty. Wow! I LOVED the banter between her and Z. I was witnessing two souls who had found their perfect match, yet, wouldn’t fess up and say, ‘yep, were perfect for each other’. Independently and together, they had a mound of stuff to get through to even think about them as a couple, but let’s not forget that this started as a fake relationship. Sugar thought she needed Zack for a certain reason. Despite having written up a very legal and binding contract 😉, all things must evolve and fake soon turns into what?

While reading, I never felt as though I was an outsider reading a book. I felt as if I was part of the inner circle and was witnessing these events first hand. The emotions were real and roller coaster in feeling. The ‘intimate’ moments were HOT, SIZZLING and STEAMY. The writing, character development and plot were exquisite. It’s true that Boyfriend Bargain is based around a sports romance, but I urge you to try it, because it is so much more!! I, without hesitation, highly recommend you to read about Zack and Sugar!!IMG_0872
