Mason (Trinity Academy, book 2) by Michelle Heard–Review

Ms. Heard is beginning to grab my attention, and I like it!! In my little world, she is soon becoming the queen of one-page cliffhangers. Cliffie’s that I never saw coming and, literally, took my breath away. Wow, Michelle, really??

Trinity Academy is an interconnected series, with each book focused on a different couple. This one is about Mason Chargrill and Kingsley Hunt. In the last book, we read about Falcon Reyes and Layla Shepard and they are also featured throughout the book. YES, we get more of Falcon and Layla. We also get to know Lake a little more, as well as Preston, the universal PA.

I, literally, could not put this down. I was so sucked into every word, dialogue, scene, and situation. ENTHRALLED!! Mason starts out where Falcon ends and from the get-go, there is nothing but, full steam ahead. Remember, these guys are like the Three Musketeers, ‘All for one and one for all, united we stand divided we fall.’ Falcon, Mason, and Lake take this saying true to heart. No matter what is going on in their world’s, they have each other’s back to form a united front. This is completely evident during some of the trying times throughout the book.

Mason…❤❤❤! In Falcon, I was thoroughly about him, yet there was just something about Mason that had me so intrigued with him and his story. So, need less to say, when I got the book, I absolutely fell in love and absolutely adored him. He is such a broody MF, with no cares left to give, drowning in an overabundance of negative emotions. Despite all this, I couldn’t help but fall for this a@@hole.

Kingsley is Layla’s roommate and by default, in the boy’s group, where others know not to mess with her. Over the course of many tragic and eye-opening events, Mason and Kingsley both need to re-assess their ‘Fuck Frenemies’ relationship.

Despite some, ‘Aww, hell’ and ‘No way’ moments. I was utterly in love, sucked in, and swept along with the story. Despite heavy and shocking moments, there were many laugh out loud/snort moments. I ended this book with a few runaway tears. Now, were they from the emotional overload or sadness, I don’t know. I do know, I anxiously await Lake’s book now. If for any reason, that cliffhanger, Michelle!!
