I am in awe of Venom. Dee Garcia took a genre that I’m not normally reading many books in, flipped it, and made me a believer of PNR. I saw the teasers, I saw the blurb, and I was ‘hook’ed. I HAD to read not only Venom, but I need to read the whole sinister series.

I love dark, taboo, angst, drama, romance, and the fairy dust sprinkling of emotions that had me from happy, to sad, outraged, to plan ‘ole shock. Needless to say, I was shook after reading Venom. I, seriously, was addicted to this story and had to have more. I kept clicking the page to see where Dee took me next. There were so many flips, twists, turns, and shockers that I was sad to see the end.

Let me start this by saying, this is not your childhood Peter Pan. In fact, take that mental image and flip and twist it one-hundred-eighty degrees and you have Venom. The adult version of Peter Pan. Your usual band of characters are here; Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, and Tigerlily, but they are not the Disney animated version. They are grittier, raw, tenacious, courageous and downright stunning.

The world of Rosewood is beautifully described with different paranormal creatures, such as, fae, vampire, witches, and, sirens. For someone whose genre isn’t necessarily PNR, Dee created a fantastically descriptive world that sprung off the pages. Now that I have read this, I need to go check out the rest of her library, because I am addicted and wondering where Ms. Dee Garcia has been all my life.

Venom’s story line and plotline was perfection. The book flowed flawlessly from beginning to end and the character development, through all the twists and turns, was impeccable. Pick up Venom and read the adult version of Peter Pan.
