Gabriel’s Promise by Sylvain Reynard–review

Professor Gabriel Emerson is akin to coming home. Imagine your favorite slippers, leggings or blanket, that feeling of contentment is one that washed over me as I started reading. I was enthralled and completely sucked into Gabriel and Julia’s previous books, specifically, books one and two.
Professor Emerson is my OG professor to kick off my love of Professor-Student genres. I loved seeing a different side of Gabriel, especially after the birth of their daughter, Clare. So attentive, loving and protective. Just what his girls need.
Now that Clare is in the picture, one would hope that Gabriel and Julia have an easy breezy future. Unfortunately, they are tested and must face challenges that will test them both. Ms. Reynard packed a full storyline with issues, enemies, and confrontations between beginning and end. Some may have been true storyline issues, while others felt like ‘fluff’ and didn’t really need to be there.
Despite all this, Sylvain’s writing is wonderful. If you have read the previous books, pick this up on January 7th and see what the Emerson’s are up too!
