Contentment: The state of being contented; satisfaction; ease of mind.

Well, Mary Catherine Gebhard did what she does best. She threw everything within her and plastered it on the page. I am now 2 days post reading and I have one constant flowing through me. I am feeling contented. This series is finished, and I am going to completely miss Grayson Crowne and Storybook Hale.

Story and Grayson are a testament to the idea of soulmates, fate, and destiny. Life and love can be messy, but these two navigated the roller coaster of life, love, and happiness to their final ending.  

“You’re the moon, Story Hale. Some people will want to snuff you out for no other reason than to bring you into their dark.”

I was so invested in this story, that there were numerous times where I just kept reading when I needed to stop. MCG did her best to keep me guessing until the very end. There were so many twists and turns and misdirection’s that I did not know what was next and when I did, I went back and re-read it.  

Another constant in Mary’s writing is that Gray and Story continued to evolve and grow until the end. I am extremely happy and proud of Story in this book. She flourishes and matures into the person that is expected of her. She not only has herself to think about, but also her infant. Gray eventually got to where he wanted to be as a person, but it was a different journey than Story’s.

“You are where I wrote once upon a time, he is where I write happily ever after.”

Right now, I feel like that little kid that is hugging her book tightly and smiling. Why, you ask? Although I did not get all overly emotional about Destroyed Destiny, I got something better. A chance to feel as one with the book and I just saw my best friends, finally get what they wanted. DD is a very heartwarming, on the edge of your seat, contented feeling and will stick with me for a long time.
