BB Reid is one of those authors that I know I can check out her repertoire and always find something to fit my mood. She just always seems to have ‘it’. Lilac is her first foray into the world of RH and sometimes you need to be careful in this world. I have read many RH and they are either good or bad. Now add in the fact that this RH revolves around a rock group and things could get spicey!
Lilac I found to be right along the middle at least in the beginning. For the first half of the book, the storyline and plot line, seemed to drag. I really hate to say this, but I found myself getting distracted quite easily. Around the midway mark, things started to pick up steam, and I do mean that literally. Braxton, Loren, Houston, and Jericho were hot. 🔥🔥🔥
Lilac is not as simple as rock stars, RH, and band members who were stuck with Braxton. There was depth to each character, stories that made them all unique, and hidden secrets one never expected to tell. The redeeming part is that through these trying times they grew together, overcame demons, and found comfortability with each other to have their own version of love and family.
Give BB and Lilac a chance. Despite some sluggishly slow times in the beginning, Lilac is a good read.

I’m not sure how I feel about the slow pace but RH are a guilty pleasure of mine so I’ll have to check this out!
Great review, thank you! 😊
