Antichrist by Amo Jones–New Release and Review

AVAILABLE NOW

Oh. My. Fudging. Antichrist. Amo Jones, why? Why do I consciously choose to read your books again and again when I know you are going to break me over and over yet again? The answer is simple, you are a genius to the highest level. You know exactly what to write and how to write it. Bravo!!

Nik/Antichrist and Meraki are DEFINITELY not your traditional Heroes and heroines, even for a dark romance. They are toxic, darker than dark, and maybe slightly psychologically skewed. This book will rip you apart, leave you for dead, erroneously throw you back together only to rip you apart yet again…slowly and painfully!

The beginning was hit or miss for me. There were some timeline issues/jumps that made me feel slightly disconnected from the story, which made Amo’s writing style slightly different. However, the further you read the more it grabbed you and very quickly engulfed you in toxicity and demented pleasure all while carrying you along until you hit that ending. WTF do I say about that ending, except holy crap, you are good Amo Jones, you are good.

There are trigger warnings, many triggers, but for me, I wished I didn’t read them, because I was anticipating what would come next. I do not want to ruin your experience, so I will just tell you that dark can be done badly, or dark can be done so well that it will leave your rotten little heart happy. You will be confused and look for logic between the covers, but don’t, because you won’t find it. What you will find is Ms. Jones doing what she does best, messing with your mind and heart, while questioning if your soul is intact.

Meraki Mallory lived two lives.

The one that everyone thought she did, and the one she worked hard to hide.

She burned with her demons instead of running from them,

But when Niko Davis rode back into town with a bag full of secrets, she knew she would need to start hiding them instead.

Niko knew her inside and out, and if he saw even a smidge of her soul,

He would see that she was no longer the girl he left behind…

When the president of the New York chapter of the Seven Knights MC dies,

He passes the gavel down to Niko, but unknown to anyone else, that’s not the only thing he left him.

Niko fights for what’s his, and he’s only ever claimed one person in his life – Meraki.

So when he rips away the walls she built around herself with his bare teeth,

The secrets that she has so fiercely hidden away all of these years suddenly bleed onto the four unmarked graves laid out in front of his steel-cap boots…

It started with a bond that destroyed everyone around them,

And it ends with blood…
